We have very experienced staff here at Unique Floor Sanding that are highly skilled at undertaking the floor restoration process, which can transform an old or damaged floor almost back to its original condition.After years of neglect, wooden floorboards or parquet blocks can become heavily worn, scratched or punctured by gripper rods or obscured by layers of wax and polish. Complete re-sanding and coating of timber floors is often required when they are accidently scratched by careless tradesmen and delivery men.   Superb service From quote through to completion, these guys were absolutely brilliant. When we exposed the original wood floorboards in a bedroom shortly after moving house, I was excited but slightly despondent as they were dark stained, covered in paint splashes and looked beyond help.   Disappointing and unhelpful service The floor was sanded, filled, and lacquered less than a year ago, but the filler in some joints is already coming loose. If this keeps happening, it will soon look as bad as before. I reached out to them, but they only referenced their terms and conditions and showed no interest in inspecting or fixing the issue. Unfortunately, it feels like I've wasted my money.

  I’ve now used Tsvetan and his team for three separate projects and have been impressed and reassured each time. They put real care and attention into every stage of the work, from the initial quoting process and choosing finishes through to completing the work to a really high standard. One detail that really stood out was during a project where we had to remove part of the bannister from the first-floor landing after moving in. Although this wasn’t part of the quote, the team rigged a temporary bannister, making the landing safe - this was extremely helpful. If you have an older house, UFS understand the character of the building and how to restore old floorboards properly. Overall, we’ve really appreciated how skilled, friendly, conscientious and reliable UFS are, and have no hesitation in recommending them.

  Parquet flooring in lounge and hallway. A few years ago I had the misfortune of engaging a “Cowboy” builder who wrecked our parquet flooring, leaving wavy lines and deep gouges throughout. Thus I had been dubious in engaging another workman. However, Unique Floor Sanding have restored my faith in the trade. The floors in our hall and lounge have never looked so wonderful. They arrived at the time I was told, did exactly what I was told they would do, in the time and with very little mess or upset. I cannot recommend these chaps highly enough.

The results were fantastic, transforming my sun-bleached damaged oak floors into a sleek and modern Scandinavian style. The professional team was highly responsive, explaining the process thoroughly by phone and email. The 96% dust-free promise held true, requiring only light cleaning post-cure.   We needed our hallway floor sanding back after having laminate applied on top. Tsvetan turned up promptly to start the work.  Very polite and considerate of where to put equipment in our house, making sure something was put down so no damage was done to our existing floor.  We are really pleased with the finished work.  The previous owners had painted about a 3rd of the hallway floor and laid laminate on top.  You wouldn’t know that either were true looking at the floor.  I was very impressed with the lack of dust generated.  Anyone who has sanded knows it gets everywhere but Tsvetan took care of it.  Would highly recommend for work in your home.

Over two years Unique Floor Sanding have sanded and renovated most of our flooring -- several rooms with old fashioned pine floorboards, and areas with modern engineered oak (I think).   We cannot recommend this company enough! The kitchen floor is over 120yrs old, made of 3 types of wood, uneven and full of gaps. We had the pleasure of having Tsvetan over, and the transformation is unbelievable. He was a dream: he used dustless equipment, was immaculate at cleaning up, he used waste dust to infill the gaps, and he glued any creaky boards. The different levels are now somehow level, the boards draft-proof, and it’s more solid to walk on. We went with an oak stain and matte lacquer. As good as new and we can’t wait to have him back again for the next room! A talented craftsman.

  Tsvetan and his brother from Unique Floor Sanding have carried out a lot of flooring work as part of our whole house renovation. The work was carried out over a long period of time due to our logistics and involved the refurbishment of existing engineered oak flooring, including patching in new flooring where an old fire hearth was, the laying of new engineered oak flooring to match existing, renovating a lovely 5 fingers parquet floor and laying a new 5 fingers parquet floor with reclaimed teak blocks. All the floors look contemporary (that's the look we wanted) and truly amazing. They totally understood what we were trying to achieve and nothing was too much trouble. They were considerate, polite, arrived when they said they would, professional and communication was very good too. They are excellent at what they do. I can't recommend UFS highly enough.

  Really Brilliant Floor Sanding We had ~45 sq metres of badly worn (we recently bought the house) engineered wooden flooring expertly and efficiently refurbished by USF.  They are highly recommended being attentive, excellent in communication with very clean/tidy work to a high standard.  Moreover they turn up at 8am to start immediately and there is no radio blaring, no smoking or long pauses checking fb, etc.  We are impressed by the restoration, a result of care and attention coupled with really wanting to do a top job.

On the day we chose the style of finish (matt, satin or between the two) and it was completed in exactly the time predicted.  They gave us a call to come back home when they were done and waited for us.  We are very impressed with the customer service, price, speed and finish of the job.  Definitely recommend and will be using for all future flooring projects, and maintenance of this one.  The cleaning products they gave us is very useful to be given!   Tsvetan and his team have been brilliant from start to finish. Tsvetan is super communicative and responsive, coming round to quote up really quickly. The eventual work was outstanding, one new floor and one restored floor. The finish was excellent and transformed our house. We then had an electrician tell us our house needed a rewire and the restored floor would need to be pulled up, to our horror. However, after the rewire, Tsvetan popped round at a moment's notice (on the day he was due to fly out for a holiday) and a few weeks later had restored our floor for a second time, to another excellent finish. Throughout a full restoration of our house this summer we've had lots of experiences of workmen and I can honestly say Tsvetan has been an absolute star above them all.   Original wood floor restoration - sanding and finishing Unique floor sanding did a wonderful job with our floors.  We have pine floorboards throughout the house and wanted to have them exposed, though weren’t sure what finish to go for in some of the rooms.  Ivor was really helpful and showed us samples.  Would definitely recommend unique floor sanding, from initial quote where Tsvetan arrived on time and gave an accurate quote, to the finished product where we were given a kit and advice for maintaining the floors they were so helpful and professional.   Floor sanding and resealing We were on holiday while our floor was being sanded and resealed and we were extremely pleased when we viewed the work when we returned.  The standard of work is exceptional and the finish made the flooring look better than when it was originally installed.   Floor sanding The work was excellent.  The team worked extra hard to ensure the finish was exactly what I wanted, and this involved several visits, test patches and follow up calls.  I would not hesitate to recommend.  The whole of the ground floor was sanded, but they managed to achieve this with the minimum of disruption.  I am much happier with the result than I ever anticipated.   Wooden floor refurbishment Cannot fault Tsvetan and his company from start to finish.  Prompt at replying to emails and answering any questions I had.  Made the time to visit us in person to assess our flooring needs.  On the day, the workmen were on my drive 15 minutes early and ready to go.  I was kept updated throughout the whole day and there was virtually not a single spec of dust left behind.  I’m so happy with my refurbished flooring and the aftercare that has been explained to me!

  Excellent job done by Unique Floor Sanding.  Completely sanded our solid wood floor and treated with 4 coats of lacquer then finished with a final protection.  We kept the natural look of the wood with no staining and it looks fab.  All imperfection are gone, and the colour is restored to how it looked when it was first laid 15 years ago.  Arrived on time and worked solid through the day to complete on time.  Great job done, very happy.  Would definitely recommend.

  Wooden floor sanding and polishing Tsvetan and his team were contracted to sand and polish the wood floors.  The quote was very reasonable and it had all the details required for the work as well as the time required to complete the task.  The team were on time (very early in the morning) and on schedule.  At the start of the work they agreed the process with me and stuck to it.  The level of detail given to protect the surfaces as well as prevent dust settling around the house was fantastic.  The quality of the work has been very good.  It is completely in line with what was agreed and to my expectations.   Highly recommend them

  Restored parquet floor in lounge and hall The finished floor is beautifully restored.  I had attempted to sand the floor myself and it had not gone to plan!  After a quick phone call that day and a visit to look at the floor, I was given a clear price and they were able to fit me in the following week.   Floor sanded and varnished I don't usually write reviews but the service we received deserves one!  - what a fantastic job UF sanding did on our wooden floors.  The man was polite, reliable and professional.  We were even left with a floor cleaning kit and some floor protector stickers which was a lovely touch!  - if I ever need help with my floors again I will be calling these guys.   Sanded, buffed and re-stained a very tired looking wood floor in my front hallway I am so pleased with how my floor turned out.  Tsevan worked very hard to get such a good result.  Also, he gave me a floor cleaning kit and some protective pads for my furniture when he was done.  I highly recommend this company.

  Repaired extensive area of first floor flooring from where a plumber had gained access to pipework to repair a leak I could not be happier with the whole transaction.  Prompt response and thorough investigation to provide quote.  Arrived when they said they would and left the whole area in first class order when finished including removal of all waste.  I would definitely recommend them and use again if I ever have need

  Hall and living room floorboards sanded and restored Very happy with the work, very professional.  I was a bit worried that the house would be filled with dust but in fact the equipment used means there is very little dust indeed.  They even removed the old carpets and moved the furniture before and after - coming back specially to help move a heavy item.  Highly recommended

  Restoration of parquet floors Wonderful job - efficient, clean and a great finish in a really short timeframe.  Our floors look amazing, with minimal dust to clear up.
